Embedded Software Group (ESG) is a leading provider of software development services and tools for the embedded systems market. We are focused on providing device level Linux solutions including OS ports, hardware support, tools and unique applications.

ESG is a third generation company that evolved from two predecessors, (ISDCorp and Ahura Technology, Inc.) ESG is also a dynamic, technology-driven enterprise with a difference: a thorough understanding of embedded systems development and the ability to deliver rapid time-to-market with exceptional quality.

The ESG advantage is the result of more than twenty years experience that began with the early development of HP's Unix operating system low level kernel. We then tackled microprocessor- specific operating systems and software device drivers. Our domain knowledge grew to include the most critical areas of embedded system development: OS porting and scalability and embedded system integration.

Leveraging our expertise in Unix kernels, we transitioned to real time operating systems, peripheral device drivers and system software. We introduced Royal Linux, the first embedded Linux kernel for Cirrus Logic, MIPS, Motorola and ARM -- then applied our knowledge to leading edge integrated development environments (IDE) and open source GNU technology. The result is a suite of embedded software development tools that can power the development of Linux-based embedded systems.

 We believe that the time is right for embedded systems developers to standardize on a set of embedded development tools across product families, substantially reducing their software development costs. Our ability to truly understand the embedded Linux development life cycle enables us to provide these tools – tools that enable our customers to build products more quickly, with more functionality and higher quality.
